My family and I have just returned from an excellent three-night stay at The Granary. We genuinely could not fault any element of our stay. The location is quiet, perfect for a relaxing break, but still just a short drive from a number of different beaches and other attractions on the island. The property itself is stunning, a perfect renovation where it is clear that no corners have been cut…it’s very thoughtfuly designed with huge windows everywhere, ensuring lots of natural light as well as views of the surrounding gardens and countryside. The decor in and around the property again shows the owners attention to detail. Unfortunately, despite being June, the weather wasn’t great so we didn’t get as much use of the pool as we would have liked but it’s still an excellent feature to have on warmer days. The hosts live next door and did everything they could to make this both a comfortable and memorable stay including: excellent communication throughout, proving a basket of local goodies on our arrival, providing some great suggestions for places to go and even bring over a delicious home-made vegan chocolate cake! The biggest compliment we can give is that we re-booked for next year on day two of our visit. This place is perfect for any couple or small family wanting to have a relaxing break on the Isle of Wight…we can’t wait to head back in 2022.

Absolutely perfect! We are island residents (two adults and two children 9 and 7) but decided to 'staycation', seeking some tranquillity away from our usually busy lives. The Granary was a superb choice. It is so quiet and peaceful with lovely views out of the huge windows across the private courtyard and garden. No traffic noise, very private. All the facilities you need, immaculately clean and really friendly host! The building has been renovated so a high standard and its an absolute pleasure to be in- warm and comforting. The little extras like a basket of local, Island, goodies waiting for us in the kitchen were a lovely touch! It is clear the hosts have thoughtfully and ethically sourced local goodies and environmentally friendly cleaning products. Ok , so the Pool was cold, but wow what a buzz you get from it when you do take the plunge! We were particularly impressed with the length the host has gone to to make our stay 'Covid' safe. Excellent plans and cleaning processes in place. I cannot recommend this place enough. I would definitely stay here again!
